Located at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean facing the Bight of Bonny sits the island of Bonny. This serene community has several historical and economic symbolisms for the Nigerian federation.

Bonny could ring a bell in the ears of many as the town where the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) plant is situated, but for those who do not know, it is an island by the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and one of the 23 local government areas of Rivers State, as well as home to the newly an established Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas.

The most remarkable thing about this town is that there is never power failure!
Yes, you heard well; Bonny residents enjoy 24/7 electricity supply all year round!

In two-years the total time of power outage is less than 6 hours. Such outages are usually due to routine maintenance by the BUC (Bonny Utility Company). The residents hardly know how much kerosene or cooking gas sells for because they cook with electric cookers and power availability is guaranteed for their daily activities.

  • .         BIRNIN KEBBI

Birnin Kebbi is a city located in northwestern Nigeria. It is the capital city of Kebbi State and headquarters of the Gwandu Emirate.

Birnin kebbi is one of the city’s with 24/7 power supply under Kaduna Electric, birnin kebbi is a  Very nice place to be. 
In a month or two the city only run out power supply for like 30 minutes due to maintenance by Kaduna Electric, this has really helped the economy of the city and its people in terms of their business and daily activities. 


Ikot Abasi is located in the south west corner of Akwa Ibom State, it is the home of ibom power plant, the abundant gas and oil deposits in the area as attracted many establishments to the area which has helped in the aspect of development.
 Ikot Abasi is also a home to Alscon, the biggest aluminum smelter plant in Africa.

The establishments in ikot abasi has really helped the growth of their society and given the people more access to good power supply.


Egbin is located in Ijede Ikorodu, Lagos state, it’s the home of Egbin Thermal Plant which is the largest power plant in Nigeria and west  Africa.
It is said that for 20 years the power supply has been very good because of the power plant located their.
